Just added a 1972 EP by Saloma titled "Aslirama" with Saloma reviving her earlier recordings including one of her first - "Madah Pujangga" from 1955 - This time in full stereo glory. Produced by Kassim Masdor and arranged by P. Ramlee and Kassim Masdor. Not to be confused with the compilation LP of the same name in 1973 where two songs from this EP were also included.
Just added a 1969 self-titled EP by Saloma otherwise known by the first song "Entah Di-Mana". Not indicated anywhere on the album but probably produced by Kassim Masdor and probably accompanied by Dendang Perindu led by Kassim Masdor. Also probably the songs were never reissued on CDs.
Just added a 1979 LP "Kenangan Ayah" by Filipino superstar Freddie Aguilar (birth name Ferdinand Pascual Aguilar and Muslim name Abdul Farid since 2013). This was after his "Anak" record exploded in 1978 and churned many versions in different countries and languages. Freddie himself re-recorded it in English, Italian and Malay (the latter came from this LP). Perhaps his only Malay album, it was recorded and produced in Singapore by Eric Yeo under the Philips label. The album was reissued on CD as "Anak" in 1997 with different cover and different song order. All 12 songs were basically Malay renditions of his 1976-1979 Tagalog hits with majority of lyrics by M. Nasir and two by S. Amin Shahab. M. Nasir was also tasked as vocal coach to Freddie but that didn't stop a Berita Harian reviewer from giving the album the thumbs-down based on Freddie's Malay pronunciations and also the fact that the album was all "terjemahan" ヅ
Just added a double Live LP by Various Artists with Orkes RTM led by Johari Salleh. Recorded during the ASEANEKA II event in 1977 featuring songs and singers from Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia. Thailand presented their classical dances that's not included in the LP.
