Just added an LP by Dato' Shake "Sebuah Lagu Cinta" from 1996. Produced and arranged by S. Atan. All new songs (no covers) but heard that this album was released pre-maturely by WEA without the knowledge of DS himself as he wanted to actually do further mixing before the release. Best cut "Ketika Kau Terlena" (Dato' Shake/Habsah Hassan).
Just added Dato' Shake's first Malay language album "Kau Bungaku" from 1982. Produced by Ahmad Nawab and Dato' Shake himself. Best cuts were "Lina", "Pulanglah", "Umi" and "Munira" - with the exception of "Munira", the first three were originally Shake's French hit singles from around the same period.
Just added a 1984 LP by Dato' Shake "Cinta Dan Hidup". Jointly produced by Nasser Abu Kassim, Dato' Shake and Adnan Abu Hassan. Best cuts are "Ingatan", "Nyanyian Kalbu" and "Anugerah Dari Kegagalan".
Just added a 1994 LP by Dato' Shake (distributed to media and broadcasting companies only aka D.J. copy). Marketed to the public in cassette tape format then on compact disc. Produced by Johan Abdullah, this release was titled "Sebelum Kau" containing perhaps the only duet ever recorded by Dato' Shake; with Aishah.
Just added the mini CD from Dato' Shake from 2003 "Keamanan". Produced by Ahmad Abdullah & Dato' Shake. Containing the elusive "Musafir Di Aidilfitri" (not that one).. This one not found elsewhere other than on this CD. Thanks to both Mohd Rizal Azuar & Kamal Mohd Salleh who jointly contributed all the songs and to Mohd Rizal Azuar for the images. This album is free to stream due to the request AND donation made by Borhan Batista, Johor, Malaysia - You can do the same for other albums/songs (if available). the donate buttons all over the website to contribute to the MN Fund:
Just added Dato' Shake's latest Malay language album "Chameleon" from 2013. No streaming for this one, just CD covers and songs info. Some of the songs are new renditions of his previous recordings.
Just added a 1986 LP by Dato' Shake - his fourth Malay language album; titled "Kita Bertemu Lagi". Produced and arranged by S. Atan. Best cuts are "Kita Bertemu Lagi", "Kedegilanmu Mengujiku", "Sebuah Sketsa Rindu" and "Jika Ku Pergi".
Just added a 1987 LP by Dato' Shake titled "Destini". Ahmad Abdullah played a big role in this world-class New Wave-Inspired recordings as producer and arranger with assistance from Shah Tahir and Dato' Shake himself. IMHO, this is Dato' Shake's second best Malay album, after 1984's "Bicara Tentang Cinta...". I don't think it was ever released on CD (correct me if I'm wrong), so, not many people may have heard of it.
